Building for food production
For a leading food production company, we carried out the planning of a modern steel production facility. The site in Hesse was designed according to the latest standards for hygiene, safety, and energy efficiency. The result was a customized building that effectively integrates both the complex requirements of food processing and the logistical demands of the production workflow.
Challenges
A key challenge was meeting the stringent requirements of the food industry, which demanded specific solutions in hygiene and temperature management. In addition, the structural design of the steel building had to be precisely adapted to withstand the high loads and vibrations of the production machinery. The local site conditions and a tight project timeline added further pressure on efficient coordination and precision throughout the planning phases.

Project phases
Requirements Analysis
During this phase, the client's specific needs and industry standards were thoroughly documented. The aim was to define the functional, hygienic, and logistical requirements for food production, creating a solid foundation for all further planning stages.
Surveying with 3D Laser Scanning
To create a precise planning basis, a comprehensive survey of the site and surrounding buildings was conducted. Using state-of-the-art 3D laser scanning technology, we captured millimeter-accurate data, enabling a precise understanding of the starting conditions. This was essential for accurate planning and subsequent modeling of the new building.
As-Built Modeling
Based on the survey data, we developed a digital model of the existing buildings and construction site. This as-built modeling allowed us to incorporate the surrounding environment and its potential impact on the planned construction, helping to identify and resolve any spatial conflicts or risks at an early stage.
Design – Service Phase 3 (LPH 3)
During the design planning phase (Service Phase 3), the concept for the new production facility was developed. Taking into account functional, aesthetic, and economic aspects, we created an optimized design model that fully addressed the client’s requirements and operational needs. This design served as the foundation for the subsequent approval process.
Approval – Service Phase 4 (LPH 4)
In the approval phase (Service Phase 4), we prepared all necessary documents and calculations required for the official building permit. Technical specifications, safety measures, and environmental regulations were carefully documented and compiled to ensure a smooth and successful approval process.
Implementation Planning – Service Phase 5 (LPH 5)
The implementation planning phase (Service Phase 5) involved detailed development of all construction and technical aspects necessary for execution. Special attention was given to the technical infrastructure, selection of suitable materials, and coordination with all trades involved, ensuring smooth construction execution and cost-efficient project delivery.
